Mark your calendars for February 16th, 2013 because this year’s ADDY Awards are coming up fast. The 2013 ADDY Awards will be held at Don Strange Ranch just outside of Boerne, Texas from 6 – 10 pm, so be sure to join us at the awards show! Don’t worry, there will be busing options available from three different locations so you can arrive in time and in style.

This year our very own Cameron Brooks, now a board member of the San Antonio AAF, helped to organize the judging process that occurred this past weekend at the Pearl Brewery in downtown San Antonio. He’s better known as the Interactive Judge Master (he has the WWE belt to prove it), overseeing all web and interactive entries throughout the competition. Cameron helped this year’s judges, who are Mary Knight of Hydrogen Advertising, Malcom Buick of Violette Design and Jay Giesen of Brunner.

Mary Knight is the Vice President & Creative Director of Hydrogen Advertising in Seattle, Washington. Her work has been honored at shows including Cannes, The One Show, Clios, D&AD, ADDYs and Effies. She has been featured in Communication Arts, ARCHIVE, Print, Best Spots, Creativity Pick of the Day, 1492 Cultura Creativa, the Wall Street Journal and all of the standard industry pubs.

Malcolm Buick is the Creative Director and a partner of Violette Design in New York, New York. Malcolm brings over 16 years of diverse branding experience to his work. His multidisciplinary approach has led him to producing a diverse body of work for a variety of clients, blending his love of print, into the digital realm. He is now co-owner of Violette Design, a creative lab based in Vermont, NYC, and Scotland.

Jay Giesen is the Executive Creative Director/Visual Arts of Brunner. His creative work has been honored in Communication Arts, The One Show, New York Art Directors Club, Clios, Kellys, Archive, Obies, Addys and more. He has created campaigns for brands from ketchup to weed whackers.

We’re excited to be a part of this year’s ADDY Awards, having submitted several web and print pieces. The process of choosing entries was a difficult one, but in the end, we are all very excited to see the other pieces submitted in our same categories and the results of the judging come February. We’re hoping to win a few this year! Come join us at Don Strange Ranch and be part of a momentous award show.
